What is Shopee Guarantee? How does it work?

Shopee Guarantee protects users by withholding the payment to Sellers until the Buyer confirms receipt of the order. Once the Buyer accepts the order, the payment will be released to the Seller.

Shopee Guarantee period consists of Days to Ship¹ and Estimated Delivery Time², starting from your payment confirmation date. For example, if the order was paid on 1st Jan, and the Seller has indicated 3 days in “Days to Ship”, the Shopee Guarantee period would be calculated as below:

3 (Days to Ship) + 8 (Estimated Delivery Time) = 11 days

¹ Days to Ship – Determined by Seller based on the number of days it takes to prepare for delivery
² Estimated Delivery Time – Based on average delivery time

Buyers will need to confirm that they have received their order within the Shopee Guarantee period or the payment will be automatically released to the Seller at the end of the period. Buyers are allowed a one-time 3-day extension of the Shopee Guarantee period if they have yet to receive their products. To do so, click on “Extend Shopee Guarantee” in the Order Details page.

If you still have not received your order before the final day of the extension period, please file for a Refund before the 3-day extension ends.

Note: "Buyer-Seller Self Arrange" payment option is not eligible for Shopee Guarantee.
